Delivery Assistant

The Delivery Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting the Delivery Driver, in the distribution of orders/products in a prompt manner to customers in accordance with invoices and instructions.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Delivery Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting the Delivery Driver, in the distribution of orders/products in a prompt manner to customers in accordance with invoices and instructions.

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the loading of orders/products in vans/trucks.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed in a timely manner
• Load, unload, prepare and inspect delivery vehicle.
• Inform customers of new product offerings by the Company.
• Secure goods to be returned to the Company from customers.
• Assist driver in the execution of duties as required.
• Report customer issues/complaints to the respective individual.
• Collect payments as instructed.

REQUIRED SKILLS, BEHAVIOURS AND COMPETENCIES:

 Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.

• Must be meticulous, and detail oriented
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment, function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure.
• Have a high level of analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work a shift system and beyond normal hours.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum three (3) CXC/CSEC inclusive of Math & English
• Minimum Two (2) years working experience in a similar position/role.
