MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVES

Job Summary

The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for demonstrating features and benefits of the company’s products, whether that’s pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment; to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and any other relevant healthcare provider, convincing them to use the products. They are a connecting link between R. A. Williams Distributors and medical professionals and will also increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice and introduce new products to their clients.

Specific Job Functions

  • Visit doctors to promote, discuss, remind, and sample pharmaceutical brands of the company in his/her assigned territory.
  • Visit pharmacies to make sure that the brands of the company being promoted to the doctors are readily available.
  • Submit Reports giving details of work consisting of names of Doctors visited, products discussed, pharmacies visited and the feedback both doctors and pharmacists or technicians give.
  • Build the image of the company in the respective territories.
  • Demonstrate, market, and sell products to assigned healthcare staff including Doctors, Nurses, Dentist and Pharmacists in assigned territories
  • Plan and conduct CMEs for Doctors and Pharmacists.
  • Attend weekly, monthly or quarterly Sales Review Meetings to discuss target versus achievement, product promotion strategies, new launches, and future sales planning.
  • Undertake relevant research to enable self-learning and to keep updated.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of work.

Education/Training/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration. However, possessing a BSc in a Medical related discipline would be an asset.
  • At Least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar field
  • Access to a reliable motor vehicle duly registered and insured along with a valid driver’s license.
