The Role
This is a senior management position with overall responsibility for the Wine World retail business and its forward evolution and growth. The successful candidate must possess high service standards with in-depth understanding of retail, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong financial management and human resource leadership skills.  

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies based on the short and long-term objectives, in alignment with company initiatives
• Develop and lead a high-performance team through effective training, coaching, and motivational activities
• Inspire strong team spirit and exceptional customer service across all aspects of the business
• ·       Be directly responsible for budgeting and delivering revenue and profitability targets
• Streamline, implement, and improve operational efficiencies
• Evaluate trade and consumer trends and actively participate in purchasing and product selection
• Continually establish programs for merchandising and ensure consistency across all stores

Requirements

• At least five years’ experience in retail management or business ownership
• Two plus years of wines and spirits industry experience preferred
• In-depth understanding of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising, store operations, inventory control and loss prevention
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
• Energetic and self-motivated with effective leadership and people development skills
• Good judgement and comprehensive decision-making ability
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
