Quality Assurance Officer

Mother's Enterprises Ltd. is seeking to identify a suitably qualified individual for appointment to the position of Quality Assurance Officer.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring critical control processes and enforcing established standards and procedures, to ensure the highest product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce Quality Assurance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
• Implement and monitor environmental and health/safety standards.
• Assess suppliers' and own company's product specifications and customer requirements.
• Work with purchasing staff to establish quality specifications and standards for material from external suppliers.
• Monitor staff to ensure that agreed standards are in compliance.
• Implement and monitor sanitation standards.
• Ensure that all aspects of the company conform to an established sanitation standard program.
• Ensure activities of the department meet the company’s QMS standard.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• BSc. Degree in Natural Sciences
• Two (2) years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant or the food industry.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose quality issues and present solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively train others in quality related areas.
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills, both oral and written.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and late shifts.

Experience in an ISO 9001:2000 and/or HACCP environment will be a distinct advantage
