The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the requisition to purchase order process, and must continuously monitor market conditions and analyze past purchase to negotiate with existing and new vendors to achieve overall cost savings to the company and improve efficiency.

Job Summary: 

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the requisition to purchase order process, which includes sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring delivery of all items required by end users. The Procurement Coordinator must continuously monitor market conditions and analyze past purchase to negotiate with existing and new vendors to achieve overall cost savings to the company and seek methods to improve efficiency throughout the purchase order process.

 

 

Job Description:

  • To source and request quotations for all Purchasing Requests and make recommendations for selection of suppliers and placement of orders.
  • To process all of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Order Entry including the following:
  • To communicate any cash flow requirements to Finance and resolve any issues, if necessary, with payments to supplier
  • To ensure timely reporting of potential stock out issues, to ensure that raw material orders are expedited and or resolution of the use of a substitute or source from another supplier as necessary.
  • To coordinate movement of all raw materials from suppliers to the plant and address any supply/supplier issues.
  • To maintain PO and supplier files by keeping them complete and up to date.
  • To perform PO and Vendor Maintenance on Microsoft D365
  • To update Raw Materials reports, price trends and cost savings reports as required.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Management or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS Level 5) or a related qualification
  • Exposure to the Industry/Inventory Management would be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft D365
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good organizing and planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions and proactively build effective work relationships
  • Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a great attitude
  • Demonstrable energy, determination, and persistence
  • Manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
