The business development manager will manage a sales team to execute the strategies and policies that will ensure continuous growth for the company while maintaining all current standards.

  • The Business Development Manager will be fully responsible for the performance of the sales team
  • Lead sales team to strategize and achieve sales targets
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and monitor sales team targets
  • Provide feedback to sales team regarding their performance and provide techniques for improvement, including training when needed
  • Monitor and manage a team schedule – ensure all appointments are executed properly and to Blinds Designs standards – ensuring the customer has been properly advised as well as satisfied with the level of customer service they receive
  • Liaise with sales team and customer to ensure orders are accurate
  • Generate leads through cold calling prospective customers or networking at trade shows, open houses etc.
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts for example, government ministries, corporations, contractors/ developers, decorators, realtors and repeat customers
  • Create new strategies and procedures to increase efficiency when needed
  • Promptly respond to client calls, e-mails, and live chats in accordance with our policies and procedures
  • Handle all customer concerns or complaints in a timely manner
  • Provide customers with product and general information
  • The Business Development Manager will be required to learn the technicalities and functions or each product, including but not limited to materials and accurate measurements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends based on business needs
  • Any other duties which may arise
