JOB SUMMARY:

To provide exceptional internal and external customer service as per Company standards. To receive goods, process receipts and invoice receipts of all merchandise. Greet customers, re-stock shelves and answer customer questions about products. To ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. To perform other duties that supports the effective and efficient operations of the retail store.

WORKING HOURS: 
The position requires shift work including weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of the job, the Employee may be required to work for other periods and hours as the Company shall determine. The Company shall give the Employee reasonable notice where the Employee is expected to work beyond his/her usual working hours.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for all functions and paperwork relating to receiving.
  • Responsible for effective and proper procedures for receiving all products entering the store including verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity and checking product temperatures as needed.
  • Processing Direct (Van Sales) Store Deliveries on a timely basis, ensuring Purchase Orders are processed before receipt of goods, the accurate receipt and posting of invoices and preparation for Accounts Payables.
  • Ensure that goods, packaging and bakery items are promptly off loaded and stored neatly in appropriate areas – chillers, freezers, refrigerators, shelves and store room.
  • Monitor stock levels and re-stock refrigerators, chillers, freezers, shelves and displays.
  • Ensuring price and unit integrity of merchandise upon delivery.
  • Dispatching merchandise to sales floor immediately.
  • Check inventory daily for damages and expiries and count inventory for audit purposes and assist in the management of damages, expiries and shrinkage.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
  • Assisting with inventory counts – preparation, counting, data entry and recounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including trash areas.
  • Processing outbound inventory shipments, including defective, damaged and expired merchandise to vendors.
  • Ensuring goods return orders are processed and credit notes are received from vendors and attached to goods return orders before dispatch to Accounts Department for all returns to Vendors.
  • Assisting with vendor management by providing delivery service reports, vendor fulfillment reports and any other relevant data.
  • Ensure smooth operation of shift by adhering to scheduling of duties and rosters.
  • Tag price on merchandise and complete price changes for all products within the store.
  • Set up advertising/promotions displays or arrange merchandise on counters or shelves to promote sales.
  • Answer phone and assist customer with queries.
  • Maintain an awareness and knowledge of all sales, discounts, promotions and advertisements of the Company.
  • Communicate with Store Management all maintenance requirements for equipment and machinery.
  • Provide assistance and inform customers about products and services.
  • Answer customers questions concerning location and price of products.
  • Communicate customer requests to management and place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
  • Communicate with Store Management regarding customer comments, complaints and overall product quality.
  • Enforce safety, health and security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team feedback meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Company.

  • Five (5) O’ level passes including Mathematics and English
  • Computer Literacy
  • Qualifications in Inventory
  • 1 year relevant experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Inventory software
  • Understanding of the principles of inventory
