Supply Chain Coordinator – Caribbean LED Lighting INC

The Business and Employment Centre is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Supply Chain Coordinator on behalf of its client.  This role will be critical for managing the strategic sourcing of quality suppliers, ensuring the timely achievement of shipping, delivery, and quality standards targets.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing the company's strategy to acquire high-quality production components, finished goods, and essential supplies. As a result, overseeing the sales and operations planning process, providing forecasts, and ensuring smooth logistics will play a key role in this opportunity. 


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinates the sales and operations planning process including supply / demand forecasting, inventory management and on time delivery.
•Develops and/or participates in the development of the supply chain strategy for the Company.
• Negotiates component and finished goods pricing for both new and ongoing projects.
•Identifies new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount and cost saving structures.
• Initiates Purchase Orders (PO’s) and advises the accounts department on payments as required.
•Provide instructions and details to suppliers with respect to shipping and coordinate consolidation when necessary.
•Maintains electronic and hard copy shipments records and document file include (PI, PO, CI, Packing List, BL/AWB) and presents these to the relevant departments.
•Prepares the necessary documents, invoices, Certificate of origin and packing list etc. for shipments to freight forwarders and confirms departure and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
•Prepares information for the weekly incoming and outgoing shipments Operations Report
•Prepares stock reports for SOP meetings as directed by senior management.
•Works closely with operations setting up and tracking the procurement of all supplies.
•Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production and/or field and customer service.
•Works with suppliers to alter delivery schedules to cope with changing demands in product.
•Ensure urgent orders and expedite shipments are processed and delivered on time.
•Manages continuous improvement initiatives, cost saving projects and supplier evaluations.
•Balances demand plans with supplier capability, determines risks and capabilities of product supply.
• Assists in product cost analyses by developing alternative cost models.
•Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety policies relevant to the working environment.
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•A secondary level education or 5 CXC’s including Accounts, English and Mathematics and Science
•Degree or Associate degree in a relevant subject
•Minimum 5+ years supply chain/procurement, shipping logistics, purchasing or related field.
•Experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
•Must be computer literate with competency in Microsoft Office applications.
