Job brief

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our security team. As a Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises, assets and personnel. Responsibilities include, developing strong relationships with clients, answering client queries and identifying new business opportunities among existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities and an in-depth understanding of security procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and lead a team of security officers and midlevel supervisors, providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
  2. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of security measures at client locations.
  4. Train and educate security personnel on proper security techniques and protocols.
  5. Assign work schedules, tasks, and responsibilities to security officers, ensuring appropriate coverage at all times.
  6. Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholder.
  7. Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement performance management and annual operating planning
  8. Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the division, including information technology, communications, facilities management and other groups
  9. Coach and develop the Operations team to ensure they are delivering against key performance metrics
  1. Review and update of Security Management Plan, Contingency Plans and SOPs for every contract
  2. Ensure administrative functions within the Operations Department are completed in a timely manner e.g. submission of reports, leave forms, queries etc.
  3.  Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms to identify and respond to any potential security threats or breaches.
  4. Investigate incidents or complaints, prepare incident reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with clients, building trust and ensuring their needs are met.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to develop and implement security strategies specific to each client’s requirements.
  7. Stay updated on the latest security technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve security operations.

 

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Business Management and /or Security Administration and Management  
  • Proven experience as a Security Manager or similar role within the security industry.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick, sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding situations and maintain a visible presence on-site.
  • Possession of relevant security certifications or licenses is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs.
