Stewarding Supervisor

The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all the activities of the Stewarding Department including but not limited to; maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment, inventory management and people management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for supervising the stewarding function in assigned areas to promote overall cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with Health and Safety regulation.
• Establish and maintain high sanitation standards in all food preparation areas.
• Ensure the accurate completion of Stewarding Checklist. 
• Ensure the timely completion of Stewarding Logs and reports. 
• Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate amount of staff is in place for operations and functions. 
• Ensure that all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and are counted off for inventory purposes.
• Review all BEO request and ensure all set-up and supplies are in place for functions.
• Responsible for training and coaching of stewards
• Ensure the proper storage and usage of chemicals.
• Responsible  for maintaining the required inventory of all stewarding equiptment, chemicals etc.

Qualifications and Experience

•  Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a Stewarding Supervisor in the   hospitality Industry.

Qualifications include:

• Associate degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Business Management or related field.
• HACCP certification or training is mandatory 
• TPDCO Team Jamaica Certification is an asset.
• Valid food handlers permit.
