Accounting Analyst

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and self-motivated persons to fill the following positions at The Insurance Company of the West Indies Limited (ICWI):

ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Education and Experience

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2
• Familiarity with statutory requirements affecting Income Tax and other statutory deductions
• Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to General Ledger
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Three to five years’ experience in accounting
• Computer skills (that is competence in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software programmes)

Required competencies

• Strong leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical, modelling and commercial reporting skills
• The ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively in oral and written form

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSISTANT

Education & Experience

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) CXC/GCE subjects, including Mathematics, Accounts and English Language
• Sound knowledge of Accounting procedures and hands on experience in a computerized environment

Required competencies

• The ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• The ability to deal with the public courteously and professionally.
• Computer skills (that is competence in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software programmes)

ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) CXC/GCE subjects, including Mathematics, Accounts and English Language
• Two years’ experience in an accounting position.
• Sound knowledge of Accounting procedures and hands on experience in a computer environment

Required Competencies:

• The ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• The ability to deal with the public courteously and professionally.
• Computer skills (that is competence in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software programmes)
