Job Description
The CFO is responsible for managing the Commission's financial operations, which includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, summaries and cash management. The CFO is critical in ensuring the Commission's financial health.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA)
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years experience as a CFO
- Experience in public sector accounting will be an asset
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
- Plan, organise, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the Commission’s accounting resources
- Manage compliance activities and maintains adherence to relevant laws, regulations, policies and standards, etc.
- Develop financial systems for the operations of the Commission
- Direct and oversee the financial activities and operations of the Commission
- Manage and direct the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Manage and supervise staff engaged in finance and accounting work of the Commission
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee external consulting arrangements
