The Manager, Sales (Retail will develop and execute on sales plans to aid in meeting the company’s overall revenue targets.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • BSc in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related field
  • Five (5) years demonstrable record of achieving demanding goals, sales leadership, relationship management and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast paced, environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a high performing sales team, creating growth opportunities, and managing the growth process from inception to completion while achieving/exceeding budgeted targets, both financial & non-financial.
  • Securities Certification or eligible for licensing by the Financial Services Commission.
  • Experience in Client Management, Portfolio Investment and Sales training.

  • Results-driven with the ability to consistently produce results in a highly competitive environment.
  • Exhibits emotional intelligence, professional etiquette, integrity, and confidence. 
  • Knowledge of banking best practices, laws, standards, national and international regulations.

  • Sound knowledge of the applicable Acts and regulatory policies governing the financial services industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and lead on the execution of sales plans, aligned to the strategic objectives, to achieve targets.
  • Identify, develop, and lead on sales activities to increase sales volume and profitability for the sales unit by exploring new markets and products for our High Networth clients.
  • Prepare the required monthly sales reports for submission, on stipulated sales performance metrics, with appropriate action plans within stipulated service level agreement (SLA) for Unit, Board and Management meetings. 
  • Collaborate with leadership team to develop the sales budget and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Client Service Team to ensure that sales policies and procedures are followed within the agreed service level agreement (SLA) for excellent service delivery.
  • Partner with the Group Customer and Brand Unit to develop sales strategies, provide sales opportunities and improved product and service offerings to high Networth and diaspora clients. 
  • Analyse data and buying trends to look for new sales opportunities outside of Jamaica.
  • Develop, document, and implement policies and procedures that will assist the assigned Sales team with the sales process.
  • Establish and execute a sales plan that includes acquisition of High Networth, Corporate and Diaspora clients.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline across all products and services with the assistance of Group Customer and Brand.
  • Develop and maintain a robust system to actively qualify leads from both inbound and outbound sources, employing aggressive prospecting skills to attain a successful conversion rate.
  • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to implement, monitor, and recommend changes to the incentive programme structure.
  • Establish and monitor sales objectives for assigned team members.
  • Conduct performance review assessments for assigned team members and make recommendations, where required for performance improvement and consequence management.
  • Partner with the sales and client relations leadership team and Group Human Resources to recommend staffing levels and approve personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, promotions, transfers, timely performance reviews and salary increases, in accordance with legal and acceptable Industrial Relation practices. 
  • Lead the development of skills for Team Members through documented goal setting, coaching, problem resolution, delegation, sales training, counselling, and performance management. 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Coordinate with Group Customer and Brand to develop leads generation.
  • Assist the sales and client Relations team in establishing a robust and successful business development process and framework to acquiring and managing client relationships.
  • Resolves customer and team member complaints, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Acts as a representative at meetings and/or events (internally and externally), when required.
