Establishing and maintaining a profitable local client base by providing current and prospective clients with sound financial advice and solutions.

The successfull candidate should have the following:

  • B.Sc. Business Administration, Economics, Finance or any other related field
  • Licensed by the Financial Services Comission or suitlabelr for licensing.
  • Jamaica Securities Certficate or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years sales and relationship management experience in the financial services industry.
  • Thorough knowled of the Jamaica Securities Market.
Functional and Technical Skills
  • Technical ability to assess performance of portfolios and particular assets and to interpret trends and analyses which may be used in developing projections and providing recommendations.
  • Proven expertise in selling techniques including needs-oriented sales approach with knowledge of applicable jargons
  • Strong selling skills with the ability to identify financial needs, develop customized solutions, recommend and implement financial plans with a robust monitoring mechanism
  • Portfolio Management
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide financial advice to clients and prospects, aimed at building a profitable and diversified portfolio.
  • Establish a sales plan and deliver the plan through proven business acquisition and client relationship building skills.
    • Concentrate and focused business development activities including networking, cold-calling, prospecting and leads generation towards surpassing stated sales targets.
    • Actively seeks to build and manage a portfolio for clients, recommending from our suite of financial products and services in keeping with their individual risk profile, objectives and lifestyle.
    • Builds and maintains a profitable client base through active prospecting and relationship management, ensuring timely and constant communication is maintained at all times.
    • Interviews client to obtain information required for financial planning. Analyzes information obtained and determines strategies to be employed in meeting clients' financial goals.
    • Researches and investigates available investment opportunities to determine suitability with financial plans and make recommendations accordingly.
    • Reviews clients' portfolios regularly, to determine whether life changes, economic changes, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment.
    • Liaises constantly with clients regarding the purposes and details of financial plans and strategies, providing updates on performance and ongoing recommendations.
    • Guides clients on relevant procedures for executing transactions relating to equities, fixed income, mutual funds, unit trust, retirement accounts, loans, etc. and facilitates the processing of these transactions.
    • Provides clients with timely updates on investment instruments maturing, coupon payments due, fees payable, equities settlements, etc. and ensuring their instructions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Explains and documents for clients the types of services that are to be provided, and the responsibilities to be taken by the personal financial advisor.
    • Support in leading and developing Wealth Officers assigned to the branches.
    • Ensures information accessed is handled in accordance with the Information Security (IS) Policy.
    • Report on sales progress, new business development, portfolio performance and obstacles to performance at the appropriate meetings
    • Prepares and delivers Presentations to prospects and clients, assessing the results and conducting follow-ups as necessary.
    • Attends Expositions, media/PR and Business Development events to promote the company and its products and services to the public and actively follows up on prospects and leads obtained.
    • Informs clients of existing promotions, events, happenings, etc. and actively seeks to get information required for participation.
    • Ensures clients data are current at all times, making the necessary updates where required, in compliance with the company’s KYC policies and procedures.
    • Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures including POCA, KYC, etc.
    • Performs any other duties that may be assigned, and that is within the scope of your general duties.
