DRIVER / BEARER

The selected candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of goods to various locations island-wide safely, and timely while maintaining a professional image and collection and dispatching of documents and packages and other documents within Kingston and St. Andrew.

DRIVER/BEARER

Main responsibilities include: -

• Transport goods to customers island wide in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of products.
• Collection and dispatching of documents and packages and other documents within Kingston and St. Andrew as scheduled.
• Review and confirm the number of packages as outlined on the packing list/invoice.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive and professional relationships with customers.
• Keep accurate logs and documentation of deliveries and pick-ups.
• Operate the delivery truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure strict adherence to the traffic laws and always drive defensively.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid and clean Open General Driver’s License
• Experience driving large units (up to 20 ton)
• A minimum of four years truck driving experience
• Clean Police Record
• Ability to operate manual transmission and lift-up to 50 lbs.
• Unquestionable integrity and trustworthiness
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, and safety procedures.
