The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overall operations of Human Resource Function of Massy Motors Ltd. and its Subsidiary Companies. Responsible for the implementation of all Organizational Change/Development Strategies and has a significant component of Industrial Relations practice.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure all Human Resource Administration activities are completed for Massy Motors and its Subsidiary Companies according to Company and Group standards, including Employee Benefits administration.
  • Manage the Department budgeting and expense process to ensure compliance with budgets, by approving all Department and relevant organization purchases.
  • Oversee the management of all Medical and Substance Abuse Cases.
  • Oversee the management of accurate and timely submission of Payroll information for multiple Payrolls.
  • Ensure Audit Compliance.
  • Monitor and support the Recruitment Process which includes Psychometric Assessments and approve new hires to ensure compliance with Company standards. 
  • Provide day to day support to members of the Management Team on a variety of Human Resource matters including; Department Structure, Industrial Relations Matters, new Department initiatives.  
  • Manage the overall Employee Engagement effort of the Organization including; Staff Activities, Employee/Manager Meetings, Employee Opinion Survey.
  • Manage, in conjunction with the SVP, AVP and relevant Managers any emergency employee matters.
  • Manage the overall Industrial Relations function including day to day Grievances, Non Crisis Meetings, Disciplinary Matters, Negotiations, represent the Company with the Union Branch and Executive and at the Ministry of Labour and the Industrial Court.
  • Responsible for the Performance Management Process.

 EDUCATION / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/HRM or Organizational Development.
  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 – 5 years at the Managerial Level or any combination of experience will be considered.
  • Must have at least 3 – 5 years experience in a unionized environment and have a solid understanding of the principles and practices of Industrial Relations.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple high priority deliverables, simultaneously.
  • Must be able to demonstate effective communication skills, both oral and written and be able to make presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
