Scientific Laboratory Specialist

The Scientific Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Scientific Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Promotes/Sells/Secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach

• Demonstrates Scientific and Laboratory products and services to existing / potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs

• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organizations products / services

• Prepares reports for management on customer needs and potential for new products and services

• Prepares effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers

• Keeps up to date with Scientific and Laboratory product applications, technical services, market conditions competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends

• Participate in trade shows and convention.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technician’s Diploma or Tertiary Level qualifications in Science

• A minimum of Two (2) years laboratory experience

• Experience in negotiating with clients and closing deals

• Experience in the sales and marketing of laboratory products will be a definite asset

• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and supplies

• Strong customer service skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Has a valid Drivers Permit and owns a vehicle

• Able to travel on short notice and has a valid passport

• Effective Report Writing Skills
