The Sales and Marketing Representative is responsible for Sales of medical equipment and consumables to a diverse market which include hospitals, medical centers and private medical practices.

DESCRIPTION:

The Sales and Marketing Representative is responsible for Sales of medical equipment and consumables to a diverse market which include hospitals, medical centres and private medical practices.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotes/sells/secures medical equipment and consumable orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Establishes business relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Market the company’s line of products to clients resulting in increased sales target.
  • Follow up on referrals and new leads.
  • Makes telephone calls, visit current and prospective clients.
  • Negotiates with clients and finalize sales.
  • Prepare proposals, agreements, sales reports and presentations for management and clients
  • Keeps management informed by submitting reports, such as visits activity reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analysis.
  • Planning and organizing personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the market segment.
  • Create, develop, and maintain profiles for reference accounts within the geography of coverage.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and creating market opportunities.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of the company’s line of products.
  • Apply product knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints.
  • Support local, regional and national trade shows as required.
  • Supports sales presentations by assembling quotations, proposals, videos, slide shows, demonstration and product capability booklets; compiling account and competitor analyses.
  • Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages.
  • Hosting of customers and suppliers (local and foreign).
  • Provide customer support pre-sale and post-sale.

   QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary level qualification in the field of Medical /Health or Sciences field

  • Certification and specialised training as a Nursing professional , Radiology or MRI technologists or Operating theatre technician will be an asset

  • Experience in sales and marketing of medical equipment will be a definite asset

  • A minimum of two (2) years sales experience in medical equipment and consumables field

  • Ability to create presentations and proposals that reflect the needs of the client

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improving customer satisfaction

  • Must have experience in negotiating with clients and finalising sales

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • The ability to multitask efficiently

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Dynamic and strong interpersonal skills

  • Willing to travel to increase sales, product knowledge and participate in trade shows

  • Must possess a good working vehicle and a valid Driver’s Permit
