Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and oversee planting and cultivation work on a 3,500-acre sugarcane farm in lower St Catherine.
• Manage and lead a team of approximately 40 employees.
• Ensure that tasks are carried out in the most efficient way.
• Implement cost control measures in order to meet budgeted targets.
• Manage harvesting team to ensure daily factory quota is met and harvesting standards are maintained.
• Manage day to day operations on the Farm to include weed control, fertilizing, drainage, planting, supplying and harvesting.
• Coordinate with harvesting and haulage contractors to ensure a smooth supply of cane.
• Ensure that farm equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
• Maintain proper records to include weather, cultivation and yield data.

Qualifications/Experience

• Associate Degree in Agriculture.
• General Driver’s License
• 3 Years Experience in Farm Management ideally in sugarcane cultivation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
