JOB SUMMARY

This role requires the incumbent to assess and coordinate the Company’s staffing needs and deliver successful end-to-end recruitment throughout the organization. The incumbent will develop recruiting plans, employing both traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies, and creative recruiting ideas to attract and select high potential candidates with the right attributes to excel at their roles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for planning recruitment strategies consistent with overall staffing needs of the company.
  • Liaises with all stakeholders regarding their staffing needs and collaborates to determine forecasted and immediate demands for talent.
  • Responsible for end-to-end recruitment of candidates (from applications, to interview management, to offers, to on-boarding of candidates).
  • Conducts screening interviews. Assess talent and generates qualified candidates through cost effective efforts in a timely manner.
  • Ensures timely follow-up with candidates to provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Manages candidate experiences to ensure candidates have positive interactions.
  • Manages accurate candidate documentation to ensure compliance with audit requirements and HR practices, policies and procedures.
  • Builds a robust network of talent, gains market intelligence and assesses candidates to gauge talent alignment for a specific role.
  • Establishes and fosters relationships with niche sourcing sites and companies and manages existing candidate-recruitment vendor sourcing relationships.
  • Negotiates contracts with external service providers and monitors contract terms and compliance and service quality.
  • Targets critical talent necessary to strengthen competitive advantage.
  • Creates and updates job descriptions.
  • Develops and updates skill-testing tools for recruitment, standard interview questions and tips on reading CVs.
  • Updates the organization structure as and when required, maintaining up to date files on approved Organizational charts and job descriptions for the Company.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with internal recruiters to determine effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation with a view to continuous improvement.
  • Provides guidance, direction, coaching and counselling,  and where appropriate, discipline to teams engaged in recruitment.
  • Builds added-value relationships with stakeholders to support recruitment including attending and presenting at internal and external meetings, and liaising to develop profitable and sustainable relationships.
  • Continually develops and maintains a pool of qualified, high potential candidates in anticipation of need.
  • Creates and posts vacancy notices internally and externally.
  • Drafts employment contracts.
  • Prepares and distributes on-boarding packages for all new employees.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources Officer – Training & Development to conduct new employee orientation.
  • Produces reports and conducts presentations regarding staffing levels and vacancies to share with Store Operations Team on a monthly basis.
  • Produces monthly headcount & turnover reports for Board of Directors.
  • Produces weekly and monthly headcount reconciliation reports for Finance Team.
  • Creates templates and produces required all other recruitment reports using Company’s reporting software.
  • Assists in entering new employees in Payroll software.
  • Assists Senior Human Resources Officer in weekly and monthly payroll checks to ensure accuracy and timely payments to staff.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to assist in meeting the Company’s objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the Human Resources field particularly in Recruitment.
  • BSc Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or any Social Science Subject.
  • Experience in the retail industry with a proven track record of recruitment accomplishments.
  • Experience in MicroPay Software.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and generate fresh and innovative ideas.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as exhibit leadership.
