Inventory Auditor (Temporary)

Job Title:       Inventory Auditor (Temporary)

Department:  Finance and Accounts

Reports To:    Financial Controller

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitor and report on compliance with inventory policies and procedures.
  2. Formulate, recommend and implement effective control procedures and systems surrounding the movement of inventory.
  3. Investigate all stock adjustments requested and submit recommendation for approval to the Financial Controller
  4. Count items in the Cage on a weekly basis and ensure all resulting investigations and stock adjustments are completed on a timely basis.
  5. Perform weekly sample counts of Non-Cage items ensuring all items are counted at least once for each quarter and all resulting investigations and adjustments are done on a timely basis.
  6. Overseas and control half yearly counts ensuring all differences identified between the count and the records are investigated, reported and stock adjustments are completed on a timely basis
  7. Spot check items packed for delivery to customers to ensure items confer with the packing list.
  8. Examine products in main warehouse on a monthly basis to ensure damaged or expired products are transferred to the RMA warehouse.
  9. Observe activities of the warehouse and security personnel to identify any security breaches.
  10. Observe the main warehouse environment on a daily basis to ensure that:
    1. It is free of garbage
    2. Products are neatly packed in the assigned location at the end of the day.
    1. Perform other duties required as instructed by the Financial Controller.
    2. Responsible for container receipt and departure from location
    3. Conduct a minimum of one (1) annual audit to assess compliance with minimum AEO security requirements.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Academic Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Has a degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Logistics & Supply Chain Management

 2.Has a minimum of 3 years’ work experience as an auditor or in warehousing management, preferably but notnecessary, at a supervisory level

 

Skills/abilities/attributes:

  1. Has excellent numerical skills.
  2. Is able to interface with personnel at all levels.
  3. Is computer literate.
  4. Is highly motivated, credible, and confident.
  5. Is alert and proactive.
  6. Pays close attention to details.
