To install and maintain hardware and software, monitor and maintain JMMB systems to ensure required levels of availability, and provide user support.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs and maintains local and remote hardware and software for JMMB and its local subsidiaries.
Monitors servers and associated services and applications to facilitate the continuity of business operations of JMMB and its local subsidiaries.
Administers and monitors the Company’s Local and Wide Area Networks so that the required levels of network operation are maintained.
Assists in maintaining the Company’s telephony infrastructure.
Assists in performing backup and recovery of JMMB systems.
Implements changes to client applications and databases.
Documents changes to the IT environment, and reviews documentation prepared by contractors.
Maintains JMMB’s IT inventory and ensures that reorder levels are maintained.
Facilitates and works with Contractors to whom sections of Information Technology (IT) projects/programmes have been outsourced, to ensure that the specified results are achieved.
Provides user support both within and outside the assigned portfolio, as required to facilitate continuity of business, within the areas and levels of competence.
Promotes the JMMB’s philosophy of the Vision of Love and its unique culture.
Is engaged in the transformation process for the continuous improvement of the JMMB and its associated companies.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Diploma in Information Technology from a recognised tertiary institution.
Certification in networking, IT security or Windows systems
Exposure to and experience in Project Management.
Awareness of financial sector instruments, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargon.
Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills.
Minimum of two years’ experience in Information Technology, including system administration, preferably in a financial environment.
