JOB PURPOSE: The Marketing/Sales Officer is responsible for the execution of the approved Marketing/Sales plan and is involved in all kinds of marketing, networking, and social media events. The incumbent will assist management in engaging new clients, developing reasonable sales goals and collaboration to expand the brand presence of the Credit Union.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assists and implements marketing and sales programs to build brand awareness, as well as increase growth, penetration and efficiency of the Credit Union services and products.
  • Disseminates information internally and externally with respect to products and services.
  • Conceptualizes and develops sales promotion strategies and supporting promotional material.
  • Conducts market research to identify new opportunities for building the membership base of the Credit Union.
  • Prepares documents for public dissemination, including advertisements, brochures, posters, newsletters, new releases, speeches to maximize the Credit Union’s brand promotions in keeping with guidance from the Marketing and Business Development Manager.
  • Participates in continuous customer feedback, to ensure the provision of service and benefits in line with customer needs.
  • Identifies potential members, creates, and sustains business relationships.
  • Assists with visual and content marketing projects.
  • Supports, develops and maintains information and content for print, e-delivery channels and intranet on an on-going basis.
  • Updates the Credit Union’s website, intranet, and social media presence.
  • Timely monitoring and responding to member feedback on all social media channels.
  •  Prepare social media content, schedules, draft reports, and analysis on digital performance.
  • Assists with the analysis of membership trends with respect to the usage of current products.
  • Maintains member relationships to ensure continuity of business and referrals.
  • Compiles and submits monthly statistical and analytical reports.
  • Analyzes current trends with respect to members and their use of products and the impact on profitability.
  • Assists with Customer Satisfaction surveys and compilation of the results.
  • Assists with all corporate events, including internal and external communications, media relationships, sponsorships, community involvement and promotional initiatives.
  • Complies with all health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
  • The Marketing/Business Development Manager may, from time to time, assign other tasks than those set out in the Job Description.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION (Education, Knowledge, Experience & Skills)

  • Degree in Marketing, or related field
  • Credit Union knowledge or working experience would be an asset.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Marketing and Sales.
  • Experience with creating newsletters, advertisements, and other such marketing documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Digital Marketing and Social Media platforms.
  • Experience in Graphic Design or with editing software applications and tools will be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Proficient in publishing software.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • High degree of Confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills

Must have a reliable working vehicle and the ability to travel to meet members, attend meetings and research new markets as needed.
