Mill Operational Manager:

The mill manager is required to oversee the mill’s operations, such as planning, production, and delivery, while ensuring that suitable performance management techniques are kept in place for employees. The Mill manager is expected to ensure that their team meets daily production targets and takes preventative measures to maintain equipment and resources successfully. The Mill manager must have the capacity to train staff members, encourage appropriate health and safety management, while constantly learning and upgrading techniques and strategies for improvement. They also manage the budget for production, taking into consideration maintenance and transport costs. They must have a business mind to develop key strategies for the success of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Train staff members on company and mill operations
• Direct daily operations in the mill
• Forecast and schedule procurement.
• Monitor inventory.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the mill and general housekeeping duties
• Develop and maintain a budget for the mill.
• Performance benchmarking
• Manage employees, taking into consideration their needs and push them to improve performance when needed.
• In charge of attracting, hiring, and retaining staff
• Support company's overall business objectives
• Occasionally travel to different sites
• Ensure hygiene and feed quality standards are followed at the mill.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in [relevant field, e.g., engineering, industrial management, etc

- Proven experience (5+ years) in mill or manufacturing plant management.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- In-depth knowledge of mill operations, machinery, and processes.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Commitment to safety and compliance.

- Budgeting and financial management experience is a plus.
