Shift Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

q  Supervise production in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

q  Train, mentor, and coach production employees.

q  Conduct employee performance reviews as per company policy.

q  Responsible for shift rostering of all employees.

q  IR and HR first line related functions for all shift employees such as disciplinary actions and time keeping respectively.

q  Ensure compliance with the relevant ISO Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

q  Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.

q  Coordinate with HR Dept. to ensure appropriate staffing levels in relation to production demand.

q  Schedule and conduct shift / team meetings.

q  Responsible for ensuring that shift production targets and departmental objectives are attained.

q  Responsible for quality control and process monitoring.

q  Ensure that all shift reporting is completed correctly and in a timely manner as per our quality management system (QMS). Example: Shift Plant Efficiency Reports and Daily production sheets.

q  Effectively communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Plant Management.

q  Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all.

q  Enforcement of all Safety policies and procedures such as ensuring that all employees wear the company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where and as required.

q  Participate in the recommending and implementing of ideas geared towards continuous plant improvement.

q  Performs all other duties as assigned by Management.

q  Responsible for Jantek Time and Attendance Administration within Department

q  Maintain pertinent records.

q  Assist in monthly/annual stock taking as needed.

q  Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company.

q  Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.

q  Compliance with all EIG Policies

q  Any other duties as required
