KPMG in Jamaica is expanding its KATE Audit practice and is seeking to hire talented, highly motivated Assistant Accountant who can work within a structured client service process and a proven risk-management methodology on the KATE Audit team.

​

The successful candidates will have some or all of the following characteristics:

​

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA Level I
• Minimum GPA score of 3.3 from a recognized university
• Minimum Grade II in CXC English Language or equivalent
• Willingness to aggressively work towards the ACCA or CPA qualification
• Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong interpersonal, report writing and communication skills
• Flexible and willing to travel
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience

Special conditions associated with the job:

• Required to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary
• May be required to work in other parishes for short stints
• Exposure to confidential information
• High level of integrity and confidentiality is required
• Required to work to set deadlines

​Candidates who have experience with audit methodologies and procedures in a Big 4 Audit firm will have a distinct advantage.

Compensation and benefits are very competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
