Group Application Systems Analyst (cdpt)

The successful candidate will consult with business users and departments across CDPL and Agostini Group companies in all territories to provide solutions to business challenges through the use of software applications.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will consult with business users and departments across CDPL and Agostini Group companies in all territories to provide solutions to business challenges through the use of software applications. The job entails the development, integration, and configuration of business solutions used across the organization and ensuring that all applications comply with relevant standards and regulations.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Tier 2 support to business users and investigate application errors, discrepancies, propose modifications and enhancements to existing applications to improve their functionality or address any issues that arise.
•  Implement or develop new applications, and roll out existing business applications to Group companies, in conjunction with the vendor/partner where required.
•  Analyse the requirements of end users, ensure alignment between requirements and capabilities of the application, as well as test and integrate applications as required.
•  Train end users on new applications or new features within applications on a scheduled basis or when required. Training will be heavily geared but not limited to the ERP, Intranet and self-service reporting.
•  Plan, test, document and execute application upgrades, install of new releases, and play a key role in migration to new systems.
•  Occasionally test components and systems to see how they integrate with existing systems and applications, and transfer application data and knowledge to the ICT service desk Tier 1 to improve and facilitate service support for all ICT solutions.
•  Manage environments used for storing and accessing data (Production, Test etc.), for designing, implementing and testing new SQL and software programs, and also for scheduling and performing tests to measure and improve the quality of various ICT solutions, and to make sure that they perform as specified.
•  Create and modify new business intelligence reports for key business users. The Analyst ensures that the business users are equipped to create their own reports and reporting structure is accurate.
•  Administer and manage system and application security to ensure appropriate user access is provided and maintained. 
•  Keeps application configuration and training documentation current.
•  Occasionally test applications to ensure performance is as per agreed standards.
•  Develop applications to meet business needs as required.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•  BSc. in Computer Science, Business Computing, Management Information Systems or Computer Systems Engineering
• Certifications in Microsoft 365 applications such as Sharepoint and Power BI would be an asset
• At least three (3) years’ experience in an ICT applications environment
• A minimum of one (1) year experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of SQL
• ERP experience will be an asset
• Maintaining and deploying SharePoint solutions will be an asset
• Programming experience will be an asset
• Proven track record of delivering results in time pressured environments.
