The Director of Finance will manage and direct all company accounting and control functions of the division. Responsibilities include data analysis, budget forecasting and making strategic financial decisions that will promote the long-term financial gain for the organization.

  • Responsible for management of the Hotel’s Finance function which includes Procurement. The Finance Director is also responsible for the management of the Information Technology Function.
  • Participate in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Leadership  Committee;
  • Manage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility  includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, reporting  and cash management;
  • Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department managers in this process. Take initiative to manage trouble shooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancement;
  • Directly supports the General Manager with the contractual obligations under the Owner Management Agreement and any other such contracts. This would include custom and adhoc reports and requests.
  • Manage SOX compliance;
  • Responsible for the successful completion of the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Manage  external auditor's visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit;
  • Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plans;
  • Responsible for the Information Technology function. Ensures that all relevant hotel systems are functioning according to Hyatt requirements.  
  • Responsible for the operation of the Procurement Department.
  • Collaborates with relevant departments to ensure the accuracy of all financial forecasts
  • Along with the General Managers, directly liaises with Regional Finance on all financial matters.
  • Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
  • Conduct or ensure all Training and Evaluations are completed as required by Hyatt
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures
  • Complete various additional tasks as needed by General Manager
