The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager in ensuring all processes are maintained and improved.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support the HR Manager
  • Revision of policies and procedures
  • Prepare all employee correspondence
  • Maintain the appraisal system
  • Benefit Management
  • Ensure the timely update of training records
  • Prepare payroll on Micropay software - weekly and monthly
  • Maintain group health plan
  • Leave maintenance
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Overtime and deduction calculations
  • Schedule meetings and interviews
  • Perform background checks
  • Filing and other administrative duties
EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior use of a payroll software
  • Knowledge of an HR software would be an asset
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience at an administrative level 
  • Experience in a construction and/or fast paced industry will be an asset
EDUCATION:
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management

  • Ability to multi-task with tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and be result-oriented
  • Innovative  methods to work efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
