Qualified individuals are invited to submit their applications for the position of Human Resource Management & Development Manager at Jamaica Business Development Corporation.

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to guide the development and transformation of the organization and to provide effective and efficient human resource generalist functions that are aligned to the company’s strategic goals and expanded mandate to ensure that required standards of service are achieved and the organization’s objectives are met.

The Essential Duties to be performed include

  1. Provides strategic and operational direction to the Human Resource Management & Development department.
  2. Ensures, develops, and implements human resource policies, procedures and systems to manage all the human resource functions of manpower planning, recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, compensation and benefits, training and development succession planning, career development, employee engagement, labor management relations, dismissal, policy development and implementation
  3. Designs interventions and processes to facilitate effective performance and achievement of department goals.
  4. Implements change management strategies to ensure optimal productivity while preserving innovation and creativity.
  5. Conducts department and organizational reviews to determine manpower requirements, training and development needs and to ensure the cost-effective utilization of the organization’s human resources.
  6. Provides advice and guidance to Management and staff on human resource matters.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • At least five years’ experience in Human Resources at the management level in a medium-sized organization (over 100 employees) with diverse occupational groupings
  • Proven experience in implementing change management and team building strategies
