Kingston Logistics Center Limited is the leading all-inclusive logistics firm in the island serving both local and international companies. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver to join our “Faster, Easier, Smarter”  KLC team and play a crucial role in our operations.

As a Truck Driver at KLC you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to and from our facility and / or the port. Your primary duty will be to operate our commercial vehicles, which include a truck head and a box truck and ensuring the timely delivery and pick-up of cargo while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a tractor head (plus articulated trailer), including coupling and uncoupling procedures, to transport goods to and from the terminal facility.
2. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and safe transportation of goods.
3. Plan and execute efficient routes to meet delivery schedules, considering traffic, road conditions, and cargo-specific requirements.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and fuel consumption, complying with all regulatory and company reporting requirements.
5. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to the maintenance team.
6. Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
7. Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent service and representing the company positively.
8. Handle any on-road emergencies or breakdowns with composure and follow established procedures for reporting and resolution.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL – Class A) with appropriate endorsements for articulated trailer operation.
• At least two (2) years’ experience operating a Truck Head along with articulated trailer operation.
• Proven experience in driving articulated trailers, with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle maintenance.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
