Leads, plans and executes all Terminal and Trading operational activity in a safe and cost-efficient manner ensuring compliance with accepted standards and regulations.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Participates in the development of the Terminal and Trading Annual Business Plan and Monthly operations plan and drives the daily execution of the plan.
  • Oversees assets operational capability and maintains product quality at the required levels to achieve operations plan targets.
  • Develops and directs plans and activities at Terminal operations (Oil Movement and Port) to optimizes day to day tank logistics and crude and product preparation, storage and product offtake through road tank wagon, multi-product pipeline and vessels.
  • Implements and manages quality management systems for continued improvement of Terminal Operations.
  • Directs the planning, organization, monitoring and control of all Bunker Barge and Pipeline delivery operations.
  • Manages loss control (product quality, demurrage and giveaway)
  • Develops Marine Emergency Response strategy and responds as necessary.
  • Oversees operating and supply contracts with external Service Providers to ensure business needs are met and adherence to standards, regulations and operating practices.
  • Ensures a reliable supply of utilities (water, steam, air) and quality on demand by the facilities.
  • Develops departmental budgets, monitors and controls utilization, addresses cost challenges including operating and maintenance expenses.
  • Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures
  • Ensures all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with Paria’s policies and procedures, Health, Safety and Environmental practices and procedures as outlined in the business unit’s HSE management system.
  • Develops the Organizational Capability to grow and sustain business objectives including the development and performance management of the Terminal operations team.
  • Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Qualifications and Experience:

Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Nautical Science, Maritime Operations

OR

Undergraduate degree combined with professional qualification in Maritime or Port Operations

OR

Chief Officer Certificate or Second Engineer Certificate for Marine Watchkeeping Officer (STCW’95) Certification

 AND

  1. A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in oil and gas operations, of which at least five (5) must be at a senior level. 
  2. Incident Commander Training

 Preferred:

Working exposure to Terminal, Maritime and Petroleum Tanker Operations
