Job Purpose:

The Human Resource Manager provides support to the Chief People Officer in achievement of the department’s strategic objectives. Further, the role would be required to plan and implement organisation-wide HR policies, programmes and practices that support all aspects of the employee life cycle.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operationalize the HR Strategy by developing plans, policies and procedures that foster an engaged employee environment, while meeting business goals,
  • Ensure that all HR support activities from on-boarding to off-boarding positively influence the employee experience,
  • Deploy best-in-class talent acquisition strategies to address current and future people needs; inclusive of, but not limited to workforce planning and succession planning,
  • Oversee the learning and development portfolio to build organisational capability and a high performing workforce,
  • Manage the Company’s compensation structure and benefits portfolio to attract, reward and retain targeted talent pools,
  • Implement and administer an effective performance evaluation system that facilitates both performance reward and rehabilitation,
  • Contribute to the HR budgeting process, while also ensuring compliance to assigned budgets,
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on productivity metrics that inform performance interventions and process improvements,
  • Coach, supervise and performance manage staff in the execution of HR Activities and
  • Perform any other related duties

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field
  • Seven (7) years progressive experience in Human Resource Management, with significant exposure to talent acquisition and development and total rewards
  • Minimum of two years management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Industrial Relations and Trinidad & Tobago Labour Laws and Practices
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
