The Talent Acquisition & Development Officer has responsibility for the effective and efficient execution of day-to-day HR transactional functions, with emphasis on recruitment. This will be achieved by providing support to business units through the coordination of core HR processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Company’s recruitment efforts to include, but not limited to: writing and placing advertisements; work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conduct reference checks; extend job offers
  • Oversee the end to end recruitment process.
  • Develop and continuously improve upon processes to simplify the recruitment fuction.
  • Provide guidance to key business stakeholders on policies and procedures, HR and recruitment best practices
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives
  • Provide support where necessary for the day to day functions within department
  • Prepare information for reports and conduct relevant research as required
  • Represent the Company at Job/Career Fairs
  • Support the Talent Development agenda through key initiatives           

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES

  • First Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field
  • Proven experience working in a similar capacity at least (3) three years
  • Sound knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws 
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of HRMIS is an asset
  • Highly confidential with strong work ethics and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, and with all levels of staff
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • People oriented and results driven, with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
