The Business Intelligence Analyst uses data and other information to help the organization make sound business decisions.
Supreme Ventures Shared Services is looking to identify a Business Intelligence Analyst. The ideal candidate will be a detailed oriented individual who is proactive and an execellent communicator. This candidate must the analysis, presentation, and delivery of critical information to business users, to drive operational and strategic decision-making and ultimately create business value from data assets.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively with the leadership, product owners and other stakeholders of the group’s subsidiaries in decomposing, interpreting, and sharing findings from key business data.be responsible for the following Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and compile reports on the performance of the Group's business lines.
- Support the development, optimization, and enhancement of dashboards and visualizations in BI reporting tools to enable the leadership, product owners and key stakeholders to identify challenges and impart solutions.
- Prepare reports and presentations for executives and board meetings.
- Assist in crucial strategic and business decisions via the provision of data and trend analysis.
- Support marketing research activities via requisite data sharing processes.
- Provide support with pre and post measurement and evaluation process of retail, marketing, and other assigned projects.
- Employ querying techniques to provide analytic support and data interpretation by coordinating data extraction from various applications and data warehouse.
- Collect requirements for ad hoc business queries and provide resolution reports via consulting with management and other key stakeholders to ultimately meet business needs.
- BSc., in Business Administration with Data Analytics, Management Information Systems or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of three (3) years of well-rounded experience in the position of data management and analysis.
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience with business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge and experience working with databases and structured query language.
- Knowledge and experience in acquiring, analyzing, and presenting information in acceptable formats, including relevant data visualizations.
- Knowledge of and experience in the gaming/lottery/betting industry are an asset.
Other specific knowledge & skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel, running and creating functions, pivot tables, and charts.
- Data dashboarding and visualization, including tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and SAP BO.
- Excellent relational database skills with MySQL and MariaDB.
- Database design and data architecture.
- Data mining and analytics.
- Data security and privacy.
- Good understanding of programming coding.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- Strong time management skills. Detail-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, thought provoking and collaborative with the team.
