Team Lead – Value Optimisation

Our Client, an Organisation in the Energy Sector, is seeking to fill the position of Team Lead – Value Optimisation

JOB PURPOSE

The Team Lead – Value Optimisation is responsible for the accurate revenue recognition inclusive of allocations and invoicing in line with all revenue contracts, the accurate calculation and filing of all statutory taxes and the accurate processing of the company's payroll in line with the company and statutory requirements. This position supports the functional management of the organisations financial information system. The jobholder supervises accounting staff to ensure the accomplishment of assigned functions according to set objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the planning, management, coordination and conduct of the month end and year end activities to ensure accurate revenue reporting and invoicing.
• Ensures proper alignment of the revenue to receivable cycle including close coordination with commercial to optimise value.
• Ensures the company's payroll is processed accurately and timely on a monthly basis and in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
• Ensures all taxes are properly reported and filed in compliance with statutory requirements and implement proper tax planning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A Chartered or Certified Accountant with one of the following: ACCA, CIMA, CA, CMA, CGA or CPA.
•  A minimum of eight (8) years post qualification with relevant financial accounting experience in a computerised environment
• Supervisory experience will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of local statutory and taxation requirement with industrial procedure and practices.
• Experience working with an integrated accounting software.
• Experience in auditing and financial accounting.
