Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary

National Rums of Jamaica Limited seeks to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary for our Group of companies.  The successful applicant should have a strong track record in managing finance teams in small to medium-sized organisations and is expected to provide financial information, analysis, and advice about acceptable governance practices to Senior Management, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

KEY AREAS RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Management: Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and the audit process. Ensure that the financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. 

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company.

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.

• Compliance: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

• Leadership: Direct the Finance and accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training. Develop a high performing team – ensuring good business partnering and process improvement.
