Role Summary:

The Business Process Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of the organisation’s process strategy. This will enable the organisation to succeed in its goals of flawless delivery of projects and of improvement in customer service through continuous improvements in operational delivery.

The incumbent will also be required to initiate, lead and execute medium sized (Six Sigma Black/Green Belt level) process reengineering projects across the organisation’s functions and operations.  These projects will include finding solutions to operational problems, reducing defects, improving customer satisfaction, reducing cost and improving cycle times of processes across the business.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The Business Process Analyst will be a critical member of the team, whose primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Using process quality methodologies, e.g., Lean, TQM, Six Sigma, identifies, initiates and executes medium / large sized (Black / Green Belt Level) process improvement projects across the business to capitalise on opportunities for improving reliability, reducing waste and improving cycle times.
  2. Leading/managing cross functional teams in a matrix structure through the end-to end cycle of process improvement projects. This includes people management, development of charters, leading current state assessments, voice of the customer analysis, future state design, data collection, value analysis, implementation planning and execution.
  3. Assisting the Directors in managing the screening, evaluation, and prioritisation of incoming requests by reviewing and evaluating economic return.
  4. Responsibility for the documentation and design/redesign of new and existing processes and services across the business to promote efficient utilization and drive efficiencies for the organisation.
  5. Supporting the operations in establishing control metrics and key performance indicators to monitor the ongoing stability of their operational processes and provides intervention to help stabilize the process if variability to the control limits are identified.
  6. Oversight for the centralized repository for all organisational process documentation including, process flows, procedure manuals and job-aids. Follow ups with the relevant stakeholders to ensure these repositories are being kept in good order.
  7. Leading change management activities, including workshops and collaborates with stakeholders) to ensure that process changes are consistent with organisational standards and will not have unintended impacts upstream or downstream from the point of change.
  8. Identifying and mitigating key risks in processes using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other process risk assessment tools and methodologies

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications & experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience,
  2. Degree or diploma in either Economics, Commerce, Business, Math, Computer Sciences or Engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering) field or equivalent work experience
  3. Broad experience across banking/financial services operations and functions
  4. Specialised knowledge of process and quality improvement methodologies and of financial services/banking operational processes.
  5. Knowledge of project, process and quality management.
  6. Change and Project Management experience would be an asset.
