HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

The Head of Supply Chain Management will be required to embrace the organization’s core values, vision and strategic objectives and have the enthusiasm to excite direct and indirect reports to execute accordingly. Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Supply Chain Management will handle the overall leadership and management of the Supply Chain Management Department. This must be done in a manner to achieve optimal efficiency in forecasting, procurement and inventory management to achieve improved business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Lead the team by planning, directing and coordinating supply chain management activities in keeping with established strategies, policies, processes, procedures and standards to achieve ongoing improved efficiencies.
2. Collaborate with the General Manager to design, develop and execute strategic priorities to achieve high levels of productivity, efficiency and financial results.
3. Provide strong leadership to the Supply Chain Management process end to end, to include Fleet Management.
4. Monitor and analyse the macro-environment to understand the sudden shifts and developing trends and establish ways to respond accordingly to ensure the business is not negatively impacted.
5. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and assess their performance in a manner to provide necessary feedback or appropriate action.
6. Lead to establish a caring work environment. Ensure individual development plans are established for members of the team in response to gaps and their career paths to ultimately improve employee engagement and experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or any equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• People Management Skills

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Decision-Making Skills
  • Business Acumen Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
