Senior Accountant

In this role, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial procedures, records, and statements, and for compliance with laws and regulations. He/she will report to the Corporate Financial Controller and work closely with other members of the Finance Team

 SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

In this role, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial procedures, records, and statements, and for compliance with laws and regulations. He/she will report to the Corporate Financial Controller and work closely with other members of the Finance Team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

•  Prepare management accounts
• Review bank, intercompany and other reconciliations, and addresses items expeditiously
• Perform monthly & quarterly reviews of General Ledger accounts
• Ensure the integrity of General Ledger and sub ledger 
• Prepare audit schedule of the Balance sheet items on a monthly basis and the expense items on a quarterly basis
• Prepare, review and post journals
• Prepare monthly GCT returns
• Initiate and complete online banking payments
• Perform budget preparation and management

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or the equivalent plus ACCA level II
• ACCA Certification would be an advantage
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in accounting, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• In depth knowledge of accounting rules and practices
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, time management and coordinating skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Well-developed problem solving, investigative and analytical skills
