IT Manager

Collins Limited and its subsidiaries is seeking to employ a highly driven, efficient and technical individual to join our team in the role of IT Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to the business in the development and implementation of the Group IT functions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the administration, acquisition, maintenance and implementation of the Company’s I.T. networks, systems.
• Manages risk by implementing security and disaster recovery protocols to protect data and I.T. systems, including but not limited to protection from viruses, cyber-breaches, etc.
• Analyzes business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs to ensure a high level of efficiency is maintained.
• Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
• Ensures that the Company’s I.T. licenses are maintained; leads all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
• Writes, modifies and tests code and scripts that allow the Company’s software and applications to function properly and in accordance with Company and end user needs.
• Supervises the IT/Computer department team.

Candidate Profile

• At least a first Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role with at least two (2) years in a Management capacity.
• Post graduate relevant certifications for e.g., Certified Computer Technician A+; Microsoft Certified IT Professional is preferred.
• Knowledge of AS400 is preferred.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations best practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• High degree of confidentiality.
• A self-starter who is well organized, focused and analytical.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
