JOB SUMMARY

 One Communications is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills to join the team! This role provides technical guidance and design inputs for a variety of projects and initiatives, combining math and statistics, specialized programming, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning expertise to uncover actionable insights. The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units to identify areas in which BI efforts are a value-add to the business, ultimately delivering high-quality data visualization solutions.  This candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, be decisive and work well under pressure despite unexpected occurrences and delays. Project coordination, sound judgement and initiative in both development and planning activities will be required to influence and gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.
• Translates business needs into analytics/reporting requirements.
• Identify and aggregate data from internal and external sources (inc. acting as support for business case creation).
• Create data visualizations in Tableau/Sigma.
• Coordinates and collaborates to work with the business and create ways to visualize and present.
• Perform complex analysis and explain it to non-technical business members.
• Proactively develops analyses to monitor trends and patterns for executive teams.
• Interacts with Information Architects to understand how information is stored, modeled, and tagged.
• Supports user experience specialists and information architects to enhance information visualization through development of dashboards and user interfaces.
• Acts as a go-to-person for end users to interpret and use information.
• Identify new metrics to help drive business growth, like leading / lagging economic indicators.
• Support FP&A/BA roles as needed.

• Expertise in data analysis and understanding of data.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Expertise in Tableau, Excel, SQL
• Special consideration for experience in Python or R, Other coding languages,Machine learning or AI coding / technologies
• Knowledge of data warehousing and database management.
• Knowledge of statistics.
• Ability to maintain and communicate changes in a work pipeline.
• Ability to adapt and respond to change.
• Ability to generate insights from information.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language.
• Understanding of business contexts and objectives.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelors or higher degree in mathematics, computer science, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, market research analyst, financial analyst, statistician, or equivalent roles. 
• Experience with data for the purposes of analysis and reporting
• Special consideration for experience in big data, telecom, marketing, or fraud.
