Purpose of the Role

To support the development and achievement of the business unit’s retail strategic objectives, resulting in business growth and increased profitability within targeted channels and across the retail branch network as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide key support in profitability budgeting and forecasting activities and lead the translation of strategic plans into action,
• Identify, analyse and propose new business opportunities, and be aware of potential threats to business viability,
• Lead the achievement of targets, and motivate the team through effectively managing performance and implementing actionable solutions where necessary,
• Support the building of key competencies for team members to ensure the availability of opportunities for internal mobility and a robust succession plan,
• Identify training and development needs and ensure that branch teams have access to requisite tools and material for efficient execution of roles.

Minimum Education, Experience & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or equivalent,
• Minimum five (5) years retail sales and/or commercial experience,
• Knowledge of sales and customer management preferably in a retail environment,
• Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point,
• Experience in using the 5S methodology is favourably considered.
