Senior Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor at Sandy Point Beach Club will assume a leadership role within the Housekeeping Department. This position is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization and guest satisfaction throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Supervision:

Provide strong leadership and direction to the housekeeping team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Oversee Housekeeping and Laundry staff, guiding their daily activities and setting performance expectations.

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and share best practices.

Task Coordination and Quality Control:

Coordinate daily housekeeping tasks and room assignments, ensuring optimal efficiency and thoroughness.

Inspect guest rooms and back-of-house spaces to guarantee they meet the resort's cleanliness and presentation standards.

Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to address any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Inventory Management and Resource Allocation:

Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens, and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock.

Allocate resources effectively to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained according to the resort's standards.

Guest Satisfaction and Communication:

Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns and feedback, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and enhance their experience.

Maintain open communication with the front desk, maintenance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Safety and Compliance:

Implement and enforce strict safety and sanitation protocols to ensure the health and well-being of guests and staff.

Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and regulations related to housekeeping.

 Training and Development

Provide training to new and existing housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety practices, and customer service.

Identify areas for professional growth and development within the team and facilitate appropriate training opportunities.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:

Further education in hospitality, housekeeping management, or a related field is an asset.

A minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years work experience within Housekeeping including leadership roles and managing a team.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Proficiency in using cleaning equipment, products, and tools.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices, including proper chemical usage.

Effective communication skills for both staff and guest interactions.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move objects as needed.
