The Retail Manager is directly responsible for achieving or exceeding sales targets by maintaining a sound relationship with customers and the team and creatively finding ways into new markets through the development of sales plans and staff leadership.

• Maximizing effort to achieve sales quotas and increasing sales
• Streamlining processes and making recommendations based on observed trends, consumer needs and initiating strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans
• Suggest new products and services, tapping into niche markets
• Coordinating retail sales events
• Monitor sales results, market trends, price and product competitiveness
• Prepare monthly managerial reports as required
• Coordinate training for retail staff
• Assess competitiveness by analysing competitor information and trends
• Research and identify potential accounts and new markets
• Monitor stock levels
• Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance

Requirements and skills

• Tertiary Level Education in Sales/ Marketing/ Supervisory Management or Computer related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in Sales
• Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organizing and leadership skills
