This position leads the activities of personnel assigned and engaged in the maintenance of assigned mechanical equipment on site.

Understand the elements of creating a safe work environment for all employees/contractors by being. knowledgeable of and compliant with all applicable safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements and leading by example.
Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
Manage the repairs of the company’s mechanical assets (static and rotating) on the Ammonia plants by assessing data and making decisions to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
Direct development and implementation of preventive maintenance for site.
Develop and maintain systems to capture equipment performance and maintenance history and uses this data to prioritize and schedule work, make replacement decisions and monitor productivity.
Work closely with the engineering, reliability, planning and scheduling teams as well as operations to safely execute required maintenance activities to support safe, reliable operations.
Lead the maintenance preventive and predictive program of equipment and site mechanical assets.
Confer with management, and operations to discuss job execution, schedule, project specifications and procedures.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
Continuously assess the resources within the department to ensure skilled personnel is always available and also recommends and implements training programs to prepare personnel for these tasks.
Develop and lead team, including setting priorities and practices.
Work with Human Resources to promote a learning organization and support other staffing activities- hiring, terminating, knowledge transfer and developing, performance management etc.
