Job Description
The Human Resource Manager provides support to the Head, HR in addressing employee relations matters and the achievement of the department’s strategic objectives. The role is responsible for planning and implementing organisation-wide policies, programs and practices to support a range of human resource management functions including recruitment and selection, compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management and employee industrial relations as well as Health and Safety Operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Management with a specialisation in HR, or related field
Master’s degree in Human Resources Management./MBA with a specialisation in Human Resources Management would be an asset
Professional Human Resource Management certification (e.g. SPHR, SHRM-SCP) would be an asset
A minimum of 7-8 years of Human Resource Management experience required, with supervisory experience
Extensive knowledge of Industrial Relations and Labour Laws and Practices in Trinidad & Tobago Labour Laws
Advanced knowledge. implementation and administration of HRIS, and Payroll System
Key accountabilities:
Review and validate Human Resource Development and Administration Activities
Oversee and manage Records Management and Monitoring of Human Resource and related Systems
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support HR functions
Support the development of operational plans, policies and procedures in accordance with the Commission’s strategy
Supervise Human Resources Staff in the execution of HR Activities
Manage development and administration of training programmes for all staff
Direct and manage performance review process of HR and Administration Department Staff
Attend to employee and industrial relations matters
Prepare related functional HR and business reports and presentations
