The Architectural Technician is responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications based on the design concepts from the architects and engineers and client.

With the ongoing works at Crane Resort and the expansion of our new Beach Houses development, we are seeking an exceptionally talented, experienced, and dynamic individual to join our Construction Team in Barbados to fill the role of:

Architectural Technician

Summary of main duties:

• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details using computer aided design software including generation of 3D models.
• Create specifications and schedules and other documents to supplement the design information.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals.

• Work closely with the construction team to ensure effective transfer of information.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness and update as required.
• Research and review materials for use in the construction process.
• Monitor and inspect works to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project standards.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
• Conduct site visits and reports to review quality and compliance.
• Respond to technical queries and clarifications.

What we’re looking for:

• Min 5 years’ experience in this or a similar role.
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of computer aided design software including Autocad and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of construction and architectural techniques, codes, regulations, and best practice.
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
