Junior Brand Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The person assigned to this position is expected to provide brand and marketing support & oversignt, assist in the development and execution of brand marketing strategies, and trade progams as required.

 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, formulate, recommend and implement annual marketing plans, promotions and media for assigned brands to facilitate the achievement of the Company's marketing objectives
  • Assist in the formulation of Sales and marketing strategies/activities to stimulate the growth and development  of the brand
  • Maintain regular contact with Overseas Principals and provide monthly reports to both internal and external partners
  • Conduct comparative competitor study and recommend changes to ensure that products remain competitive
  • Develop relationships with Sales Team and customers through weekly visits to the trade and by monitoring  instore sales and promotional activities
  • Ensure optimum quality, distribution, visibility, price, placement and promotion of the assigned brands in all trade channels
  • Prepare draft forecasts and budget proposals and administer approved budgets in collaboration with suppliers
  • Assess the effectiveness of consumer promotions and other trade promotions
  • Monitor and report on  Marketing Budget assigned to the brand
  • Liaise with Demand Planning to ensure adequate stocks of required items according to brand sales and promotions plans
  • Monitor roll out of monthly product offers and specials to key accounts; confirm compliance to offers via Sales Managers and sales team.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media or Communications or other related field
  • Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Sales and/or Trade Marketing in FMCG industry
  • Sound knowledge of consumer and channel marketing principles and practices
  • Experience in developing/writing marketing plans
  • Skilled at executing and evaluating ROI on fully integrated marketing programs

 REQUIRED SKILLS, BEHAVIOURS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-motivated individual, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong consumer, product awareness, report writing and presentation
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Strong IT skills (reporting and social media)
  • Sound knowledge of marketing techniques
  • The ability to be a team player
  • Keen attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
