Teacher Assistant
Special Education Teacher/Teacher Assistant - Specialized Aid (Special Needs) for a private preparatory school in Montego Bay
Responsibilities
1. Assists the teacher in classroom programs by reinforcing instructions and providing behavioral examples in social, emotional, and functional skills adapted to student's needs.
2. Interacts with the student in class activities, encouraging performance, observing progress, and sharing observations with teachers.
3. Supports the goals and objectives of classroom activities by preparing materials, obtaining required supplies or equipment.
4. Provides necessary supervision on field trips, playground, and departure of the student.
Training and Experience
- Training in special needs education
- At least two (2) years experience in special education
